Sunset Grill is looking for a motivated individual to join our Head Office team as our Marketing Coordinator!

This role offers meaningful “hands-on” work experience in a highly dynamic environment. Reporting to the Director, Marketing & Communications, the Marketing Coordinator will assist with the planning and execution of creative social media and email campaigns as well as reputation management efforts. • Work closely with the Director, Marketing & Communications to create and implement social media and email campaigns
• Develop content calendars on a weekly and monthly basis
• Write creative copy for social media channels (Facebook, Instagram)
• Capture and edit photos to be used for online marketing (social media, website, Google, ads, etc.)
• Create branded video content to be used in marketing campaigns
• Plan and execute organic (i.e. non-paid) digital marketing campaigns for local stores
• Design creative assets for contests and giveaways
• Visit store locations during events (e.g. Pancake Tuesday, store anniversary, charitable initiatives, etc.) and interview/interact with franchisees, staff & guests
• Participate in creative brainstorm sessions
• Actively monitor social media and other review channels and escalate issues when required
• Assist with the writing of press releases for new store openings, product launches, LTOs, etc.
• Update website information (must be familiar with WordPress CMS)
• Analyze the market for marketing opportunities
• Administrative duties as assigned


• Minimum 2-3 years’ experience in content creation, social media management or marketing field
• Comfortable with content creation – specifically video and Instagram Reels
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• In-depth working knowledge of Meta (Facebook, Instagram) and other social media platforms
• Working knowledge of the elements of photography and what makes an image memorable
• Working knowledge of Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere, Canva and/or other photo and video editing software
• Experience with social media analytics
• Background or experience in the food service industry an asset, but not required
• Customer service experience an asset
• Creative thinking is a must!

This is a full-time, permanent position with company benefits. The office hours are Monday to Friday 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. with the opportunity for hybrid remote work, which allows for great work-life balance. Some weekends may be required.
