Visit our 62 Queen St., Niagara-on-the-Lake Sunset Grill from May 15-18 for $5 mimosas in support of Red Roof Retreat! All proceeds raised during the four-day period will be donated to Red Roof Retreat to help support and uplift children and young adults with special needs.

The campaign will take place in honour of National Mimosa Day which falls on May 16, 2023.

Red Roof Retreat provides quality recreational and respite services to children, youth and young adults with special needs and their families. They strive to change and shape the lives of those living with special needs in the Niagara Region. Providing respite comes in many forms including a weekend away or time spent at a recreation or day program. Approximately 3,500 families in the Niagara Region have children and young adults with some form of special needs. The centre helps over 200 families through one or more of their programs.

Konzelmann Estate Winery has partnered with the Niagara-on-the-Lake Sunset Grill team and will be donating all of the sparkling wine for the fundraising event in support of Red Roof Retreat.

“We have worked with Red Roof before; they provide respite for people with special needs,” said Scott Gauld, franchise owner at the Niagara-on-the-Lake Sunset Grill restaurant. “We use our patio at Christmas to give access to those who need it to see the local Santa Clause parade [and] are always looking for ways to participate in the community, as does Konzelmann, so the partnership was natural.” The duo is hoping to raise $500 for the cause and sell 100 mimosas over the four-day period.
