Sunset Grill Hannon Supports Local Schools with Pancake Day Donation

Staff at Our Lady of Hope Catholic Elementary School prepare pancakes for their school’s community.
Sunset Grill’s Hannon location, owned by franchisee Sai, recently stepped up in a big way to support the local community. In celebration of Pancake Tuesday, they generously donated 1,500 units of pancake batter to two schools — Our Lady of Hope Catholic Elementary School and Bellmoore Elementary School. This donation allowed both schools to carry out their much-anticipated Pancake Day celebrations, bringing students and staff together over a delicious breakfast.
This initiative ties into Sunset Grill’s national Pancake Tuesday fundraiser, where all franchised locations across the country flip pancakes for a good cause, raising funds and awareness for the Canadian Cancer Society. It’s a tradition rooted in generosity and community spirit, and Sai’s contribution is a perfect example of that mission in action. Pancake Tuesday is a time-honoured tradition, and for many, it’s a moment to gather, enjoy good food, and create lasting memories. Thanks to Sai and the team at Sunset Grill Hannon, the students at these schools were able to fully embrace the spirit of the day with stacks of fluffy pancakes. It wasn’t just about the food; it was about community, connection, and making sure everyone had a reason to smile.
At Sunset Grill, we believe in giving back to the communities that support us. Being able to contribute to events like these is incredibly meaningful, and we’re grateful to play a small part in bringing people together. A huge thank-you to Sai and the hardworking team at our Hannon location for their generosity and commitment to making a difference. Here’s to many more moments of coming together over a warm, fresh breakfast!
